Because it's a new concept it's hard to define. It is a genre free bagless boxless enclave in the world of art that's has a single focus - art.

Yes 'Art' and all that this implies. Create is the verb and art is the noun.

The building was bought and formed into an environment that's simply a dream come true for Paul Allen and Dave Stewart who had some intention to go with not inconsiderable funds. In other words it was a vision and the intention to carry it out. Money on it's own can be counted and little else. When you just pause to think what most people create with a lot of money the word 'create' can be diminished to a mundane level. It takes a great deal of energy to make a reality out of a dream - and a lot of people aligned to have the word 'create' mean something like the Hospital.

It's called a Private Member's Club. It opens its doors to the public for exhibitions, events, a restaurant of extrordinary reputation and the buzz of happiness and confidence. This seems to be because those members create art that they share - be it music, writing, photography, painting, acting and whatever art means these days which is everything at the core of human expression. It's what the expression 'state of art' means right there in one building. The facilities to create range from places to be quiet and write, a cinema and a music studio that is one of the best anywhere.
